Improve Your Life In The Next 40 Days

March is here!  Can you believe how fast this year is moving?  If there’s one thing we've learned so far, it's to expect the unexpected.  The pace of life is accelerating, and if we’re not mindful, we can easily get caught in a whirlwind of stress, fear, and anxiety.  

But what if there was a way to stay grounded and at peace, no matter what’s happening around us? The key lies in spirit-mind-body alignment, the only place you can find true peace and power.


As we step into the season of Lent, we are presented with the perfect opportunity to cultivate spiritual practices that bring us back into balance.  Traditionally, Lent is a 40-day period leading up to Easter, symbolizing renewal and transformation.  It calls for four key practices: prayer, fasting, giving, and self-reflection.

Even if you don’t consider yourself religious, these are powerful tools that can help reduce stress, fear, and anxiety.  You don’t have to follow them all—just choose what resonates with you and commit to practicing it for the next 40 days.  Why 40 days?  Across many spiritual traditions, the number 40 represents growth, transformation, and moving from one great task to another.  It’s a sacred period of change.

Looking at the state of the world, it’s clear we are in the midst of a massive transformation. Old beliefs, systems, and ways of living are shifting—both in our personal lives and on a global scale. We can either resist these changes or embrace them. The choice is ours.

Each of us, all 8 billion souls on this planet, play a role in shaping our collective reality. Whether we realize it or not, our daily choices, attitudes, and energy contribute to the world around us.  Quotes like “Be the change you wish to see in the world” and “Treat others the way you want to be treated” are not just feel-good phrases, they are guiding principles for living in harmony.  And let’s be honest, our world could use a little more harmony right now, don’t you think?

So, whether you identify as religious, spiritual, or neither, I invite you to intentionally engage in a practice that nourishes your soul over the next 40 days. Pray, meditate, fast, give back—whatever speaks to you. As you do, take a moment each day to ask:

“What would you like me to know today?”

or

“What would you like me to do today?”

Then, simply listen.
